Welcome to Recipeez! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Recipeez browser extension and related services. By using Recipeez, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Recipeez, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Recipeez is a browser extension that helps you save, organize, and access recipes from cooking websites. The service includes:
- Recipe extraction from websites
- Cloud storage and synchronization
- Recipe dashboard and search
- Premium features for paying subscribers
3. Account Registration
To use Recipeez, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Subscription Plans
Free Plan
- Save up to 10 recipes
- Basic search and access
Premium Plan ($6.99/month)
- Unlimited recipe saves
- Advanced features (meal planning, PDF export, etc.)
- Priority support
5. Payment and Billing
By subscribing to Premium, you agree that:
- Subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless cancelled
- You will be charged $6.99 per month to your payment method
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings
6. Refund Policy
We offer refunds under the following conditions:
- Technical issues that prevent service use (within 7 days)
- Accidental duplicate charges (full refund)
- Service outages lasting more than 24 hours (prorated refund)
To request a refund, contact support@whachagot.com with your account details and reason.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time:
- Access will continue until the end of your billing period
- No partial refunds for unused time
- Your recipes will remain accessible in Free plan (up to 10 recipes)
- Recipes beyond the free limit will be archived (not deleted)
8. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Scrape, harvest, or automate data collection beyond personal use
- Attempt to hack, exploit, or reverse engineer the service
- Use the service for commercial recipe aggregation or resale
- Share your account with others
- Create multiple accounts to bypass free tier limits
9. Intellectual Property
Your Content
Recipes you save remain yours. You grant us a license to store, display, and process your saved recipes solely to provide the service.
Our Content
The Recipeez extension, dashboard, logo, and all related materials are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.
Third-Party Content
Recipes are extracted from third-party websites. You are responsible for respecting the original source's copyright and terms of use. Recipeez is for personal, non-commercial use.
10. Data and Privacy
Your use of Recipeez is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use data as described in that policy.
11. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:
- Perform maintenance with or without notice
- Modify or discontinue features
- Suspend access for violations of these Terms
We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Recipeez is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months
- We are not responsible for content extracted from third-party websites
- We are not liable for recipe accuracy, food safety, or cooking results
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of Recipeez
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your infringement of third-party rights
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Use the service in a harmful manner
Upon termination:
- Your access will be immediately revoked
- Outstanding charges remain due
- We may delete your data after 30 days
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
16. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute:
- Contact us first at support@whachagot.com to resolve informally
- If unresolved, disputes will be governed by the laws of [Your State/Country]
- You agree to binding arbitration for disputes over $10,000
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Recipeez
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor
